That's right! In cooperation with the City of La Center, the La Center Arts Council is providing a $50 prize if your wildlife illustration is chosen to be used on our many miles of trail systems. Have you taken a hike lately? What mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish, or insects have you spotted? We're looking to represent native wildlife that people can spot in our wild places. Download our Specifications and List of Animals pdf file and choose one, or more, to draw and/or paint. All mediums are welcome! (Although, use of AI to generate your image will be disqualifying).
When you're happy with your work, download and complete the Entry Form which includes the Usage Rights Agreement. Submit your original camera ready art and forms to Jurinda Swingruber at the La Center public library on or before July 18th! Youth 12 and up are encouraged to participate*, just ask your folks to sign the agreement.
Save the date for the Awards Event on August 3rd where all of the chosen art will be exhibited and celebrated. Including a Best of Show Award!
